My mom and Dad make Idaho day trips periodically--my dad has to go for a meeting, or my mom has to go for something. Or sometimes it's just because they feel like they need to go visit their parents. Either way, it works out for us because we love a little idaho time! Whenever we go we'll break it into two days and stay over-night for my girls sake. It's always the best spending a few days with cousins & getting to see my grandparents!
