{family reunion}

the day has come. the one where it's actually hard to get the whole family together. somehow we made it happen this summer. (well, minus elder jones) we had a ton of fun. i sure do love my family.

first up: family golf scramble. the boys have spent way too much time golfing this summer. they usually do 18 holes twice every time they are all together. so, what did they want to do the night before we left burley? golf, of course. at least this time they were nice enough to include us girls.

friday morning we loaded up & headed to island park for a few days.
it only took us 4 cars & half a day to get there. (we are always running a smidge late--standard jones time) but we finally made it. we watched a lot of olympics. each were in charge of a meal (my mom is a smart one). teased our neices way too much. some of us (the ambitious ones) went running in the mornings. watched some good movies. took the boat out as much as we could. went swimming/hot tubbing. ate way too much & relaxed just the right amount...

  on saturday we spent the day in yellowstone.

these three are the best of friends.
we spent every free afternoon/evening boating.
pretty sure she's smiling because we just took her life jacket OFF.

sunday evening we had perfect weather. so we spent most of our time outside.

first up....kan-jam.

then some bocce ball.

my mom forgot the ice cream maker. so we improvised. :)

our last night in island park we took some family pictures & then went to mack's inn for dinner & a show. (which was hilarious)
i won't show you our family picture--it'll ruin our christmas card surprise. (you're welcome mom)
but just know that it's really cute. & everyone is looking at the camera-except avery.
aren't my parents cute? hopefully one day brian & i will be as cute as them. :)
thanks for the great trip mom&dad!
