flying with grandpa

let me start off with how awesome my grandpa is. i think one of the things i'm most grateful for (since my family has been in brasil) is how much time i've got to spend with my grandparents. brian & i stay at their house every time we go home. (since most of the beds in our house were shipped down south.)  i'm grateful that my g&g coltrin are so awesome. i get phone calls/texts from them weekly. & my grandpa will ask me question after question about school/work/our lives down in provo whenever i'm home to visit. i'm so glad that they care so much.

the weekend before school started we went to burley to experience the cassia county rodeo. (it's an experience brian needed to have.) as always, we stayed with my grandparents & i told my grandpa i wanted to go up in his plane again sometime. (i haven't gone since i was probably 12.) of course he said, "well, lets go tomorrow!" & that's what we did. we had a lot of fun.  he even lets you drive for a bit while up in the air....now that is a scary/really cool experience. apparently brian was a lot better at it than i was..in my defense, it's a lot more difficult than steering a car.:)
he build this plane from scratch. pretty cool eh?
we had such a fun day & i'm planning on it being a more regular thing whenever we go home for a visit. :)

  4. That is the cutest little plane. What fun to be able to fly in it! I didn't understand how much grandparents love their grandchildren until I became one. You've got some good ones Macey.
